Our MinEx CRC Publication Spotlight showcases peer-reviewed and publicly available scientific publications from our research teams.

This publication, led by MinEx CRC postgraduate researcher Emad A. Hemyari in collaboration with researchers at Curtin University, highlights the role of advanced sensor technologies in mineral exploration and how modern sensing systems can improve the monitoring and interpretation of geological and drilling data. By integrating high-resolution sensing technologies with analytical workflows, the research demonstrates how detailed subsurface data can support more accurate geological characterisation and improved decision-making during exploration programs. The work contributes to the ongoing development of smarter and more data-driven exploration approaches, supporting industry efforts to better understand complex geological environments beneath cover.

The publication also reflects the important role postgraduate researchers play within MinEx CRC’s collaborative research environment. As Emad nears completion of his PhD, this work represents both a significant individual achievement and the strength of collaboration between researchers and industry-focused research partners.
