Congratulations to MinEx CRC student Travis Batch (UniSA), who has officially been awarded his PhD titled “Monazite and rhabdophane chemistry for Cu-Au exploration in eastern Proterozoic Australia”.

Travis investigated how REE-phosphate chemistry can be used to assess proximity to IOCG and ISCG mineralisation in the Cloncurry District, Queensland. He is continuing his relationship with MinEx CRC, working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Future Industries Institute at the University of South Australia.

Travis is MinEx CRC’s twenty first postgraduate completion!

Congratulations also to his supervisory team: Caroline Tiddy, Adrienne Brotodewo and David Giles (all UniSA), Vasek Metelka and Mike Taylor (both AIC Mines).
