Congratulations to Fernando Fontana, MinEx CRC’s ninth postgraduate completion!

Fernando has formally qualified for his PhD with his thesis titled:

“Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy for downhole chemical assay”.

Fernando was a student at the University of South Australia, supervised by Ben van der Hoek, Caroline Tiddy (both University of South Australia), Steve Tassios and Yulia Uvarova (both CSIRO) – with a lot of input from Jess Stromberg, Neil Francis (both CSIRO) and Doug Body (Elementia Consulting).
