Congratulations to MinEx CRC student Dr Alejandra Bedoya Mejia, who has just completed her PhD on a project titled ‘Thermochronology of ‘The Gap’, Western Australia’ at the University of Adelaide.
Alejandra demonstrated how the application of novel and multiple geochronological methods in conjunction with P-Tmodelling can be used to reconstruct the full thermal history of complex orogens, using the Paterson-Petermann orogenies as her case study.
Alejandra was supervised by Stijn Gloire, Martin Hand (both University of Adelaide), Chris Kirkland (Curtin University) and David Kelsey (Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA).
Alejandra is our 19th MinEx CRC postgraduate research student to complete their studies.
Congratulations Alejandra and her supervisory team!
