Our MinEx CRC Publication Spotlight showcases peer-reviewed and publicly available scientific publications from our research teams.

This publication, led by MinEx CRC PhD graduate Travis Batch in collaboration with the Geological Survey of Queensland, explores the use of monazite chemistry to support exploration for iron sulfide–copper–gold deposits. By applying geochemical analysis to monazite, the study improves the ability to detect and interpret buried mineral systems beneath cover. This work contributes to the development of more effective and targeted exploration methods, supporting industry efforts to discover new mineral resources.

The research highlights the value of collaborative work across MinEx CRC participants, bringing together postgraduate research and Geological Survey expertise to deliver practical exploration outcomes.
