Phase II of drilling is now well underway in the MinEx CRC NDI Delamerian Orogen Campaign in collaboration with Department for Energy and Mining, South Australia

The MinEx CRC CT rig has provided chip samples from surface to fresh basement and 2.5-3m of basement core for each hole.

The below image shows a full 3m CT sample of suspected monzonite core from hole NDIQV_D09. Other basement lithologies intersected so far include chlorite-talc altered claystone, volcaniclastics and potential tuffs, and amygdaloidal lavas.

Throughout the project, resources will be released to give a greater understanding of the Delamerian basement. These are designed to provide additional support to the exploration industry. You can access the full list of data releases, publications, and maps through SARIG
