Planning for research that may commence following the completion of MinEx CRC research at the end of 2027 has continued with a series of three ‘MiNext’ research discussion workshops held in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in August.

The workshops followed a call for research topics that resulted in 97 research proposals! Researchers, industry representatives and Geological Surveys came together across the three workshops to discuss the proposals and explore what a potential national-scale, 10-year, industry-led research opportunity for Australia’s minerals sector could look like beyond MinEx CRC.

These workshops provided an opportunity to share ideas, hear different perspectives and continue discussions about what might come next. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, ideas and expertise to the workshops.
