  • Commencement Salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role 

Reporting to Professor David Giles, Research Professor and John Ralston Chair of Minerals and Resources Engineering at the Future Industries Institute and Chief Scientific Officer of MinEx CRC, you are responsible for providing project and administrative coordination, communications and event management for the Mineral Exploration (MinEx) Collaborative Research Centre (CRC).

Utilising your project management skills, you will monitor project milestones, financial positioning and provide advice and recommendations to keep projects on track and ensure outcomes are achieved.

Working closely with the Communications Manager: MinEx CRC, you will implement the MinEx CRC communications and marketing plan, while maintaining and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience  

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with experience or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
  • High-level project coordination experience, including demonstrated ability to monitor multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills relevant to project management experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance administration, including reconciliations
  • Highly developed oral and interpersonal communication skills, including demonstrated experience in working effectively with people in a research environment, at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation
